(POC-Peg)
A simple peg-like device made to analyse any hair colour. For use when using permanent hair dye in the hair colouring process.
The purpose of this video is to demonstrate that the colour of a hair dye colour-chart swatch can be analysed and then a match can be achieved using a photo-mechanical device.
(An essential process required to enable the computerisation of colour choice for the permanent hair colouring process).
This demonstration video lasts for approximately 1minuit and 8 seconds.
Layout of demonstration (what you see first)
One permanent hair dye colour-chart with swatches.
Two computers connected by a LAN cable (simulating the internet).
One computer to analyse, encode & sending colour data.
Second computer to receive the complex colour data code and prepare for a colour matching cycle.
(The POC-Peg used on multiple colour-chart swatches to find a match to the original colour analysed).
One Proof-of-Concept peg-like device for colour analysis (plugged into the righthand computer and then removed and plugged into the lefthand computer).
This Proof-of-Concept Demonstration is a 3 Steps
Step one scan and acquire colour data. Analysis of the colour of a hair dye colour-chart swatch. (Demonstrating ease of use and firm hold on a dye colour-chart swatch).
Step two sending a code to the other computer. Encoding the complex colour data and sending it through a LAN to another computer. (Demonstrating send and receive of complex colour data by code across the internet).
Step three analysing multiple hair dye colour-chart swatches to find a match. (Demonstrating colour matching by a device our POC-Peg).
Patent Numbers and Title:
US9989416 and GB2544651 “Portable Color Measurement Device And Software And Dye Determination System”.
Conceived, designed and patented by a hairdresser.
The device replaces the by-eye-matching and formulation of a permeant hair colour procedure (the mix proportions, placement and timings required for permanent hair dye to process) by either the Professional Hairdresser or by a Retail Consumer purchasing an ‘at home’ colour kit box. (When assisted by a point-of-sale device and screen).
For use in Either the Hairdressing Salon or a Retail Outlet
